Some more live Bad Co for you guys'& gals. Another very good audience recording from the Run With The Pack tour, this time from Syracuse, New York. Nice setlist.
The short lived union of Page & Rodgers, a.k.a The Firm. This band really had the potential to go places with two of rock's legends in the fold, but it wasn't mean't to be in the long run. Chris Slade would go on to join AC/DC, Tony Franklin would hook up with John Sykes in Blue Murder, and Page & Rodgers would go onto other projects. Fairly decent soundboard recording here, even if the setlist is pretty weak (IMHO). Would've been better if they threw in some Free or Yardbirds tunes since they were adamant against doing Bad Co or Zeppelin tunes.
Very nice audience recording from Thin Lizzy Stockholm,Sweden 1981. It's the Chinatown tour and the man teaming up with Scott Gorham is Snowy White. Although Snowy wasn't a great fit with Lizzy (mainly imagewise) live he played great and Chinatown is a fine record. Great band sadly missed.
Silver cd Rip. A collection of Kiss demos from Godfatherecords. Excellent sound and some interesting versions of songs that would become familiar. From the build up to Kiss exploding into the big time. Full artwork included.
Vinyl Rip. Sloppy but brilliant from The Stones recorded during the English Tour 1973. A couple of songs from Goat's Head Soup here which was another in the fine run of albums they had in the 70's. Mick Taylor adding his usual superb guitar playing here. This one is available in mp3 & flac.
Iron Maiden from yesterday!! Sent in by our good friend Purno ThePurno from Holland. This is a lossless upload only as per request.
Yesterday, I went to see Iron Maiden again, at Goffertpark in Nijmegen, The Netherlands at the Fortarock festival. I taped the show. The show was (again) absolutely great! The quality is not as good as some other shows, I recorded. I was watching the show in the middle of the audience, where I usually have a seat at a somewhat more quiet spot. But, I think you can hear that the show was great. Iron Maiden is still my all time favorite band, I guess. Here are the links to the recordings. They are lossless files I recorded these so I could upload to an Iron Maiden bootleg forum where only lossless bootlegs are accepted. Artwork is included with CD1. Please feel free to post them. If possible, could you keep them lossless? So a big thanks to Pirno once again for choosing to share his recording at HRC. Cheers Buddy!!
Here's one for Andy. Sabaton are not a band I'm familiar with. From Sweden they seem to be one of those Epic Metal bands. The subject matter they mostly sing about is war or historical warfare which is pretty interesting. Not really my cup of tea but happy to put it up here for those that like it. This is an incomplete set from Wacken last year.
Silver cd Rip Yes I know, more Kiss!! This time the 80's incarnation featuring Bruce Kulick & Eric Carr with VV on the Nashville show I believe. And a fine Rockin'& Rollin' band it was too. Starting off with the Monsters Of Rock show,Germany '88 also some of the show from Nashville '84. It's all good Rockin' fun. At least Mark'll like it!
Time for some UFO! We haven't had any here for awhile, so here's your fix. Great audience recording from the No Place To Run tour, the first where Chapman was a full fledged member.
Incomplete audience recording from the Blow Up Your Video tour. Excellent sound on this one, with the usual chatter from the concertgoers, but not enough to ruin it.
Excellent audience recording from the Bay Area boys. Not sure why this called what it is (refer to artwork, please); maybe one of the guys was injured . One of the last tours-w- the late, great Phil Kennemore (R.I.P). Contagious is what it is, as Dave was only goofing while the rest of the band was busy doing other things.
Alrighty a little talk about these guys over in the c/box. So...here's a couple of FM recordings from back in the 80's. Not a band I ever listened to but I do remember them being featured in Sounds music paper pretty regularly back then. Is it Country music? Is it Rock 'n' Roll? Or is is Country Rock 'n' Roll? Sounds pretty good to me.
The Stones from Brixton Academy back in '95. This is a show that has just seen the light of day fairly recently. Coveted by Stones fans for all those years. Because it was a club show? The setlist? I'm not sure of the the reason it took on mythical status maybe just because it was known to exist. All that's important is it's The Stones...Rockin'!!
Another band requested by Andy. This comes from Eddie's stash of audience recordings. Cheers buddy! Good Melodic Rock from back in '83. A couple of covers in there from Journey and Foreigner.
This is sent in by UFOSteve surprise, surprise. Cheers mate!
Here's a short Waysted set as an Opening act for Iron Maiden to promote the Save Your Prayers album in 1987. With UFO members Pete Way and Paul Chapman on guitars and with then new singer Danny Vaughan. One of the better sounding shows I've heard. Not a lot of them about? zippyshare or Filefactory
One of the first posts from the old HRC days. Always one of Rocket's favorite bands. FM recording from back when radio used to have live shows (or recorded live) on the air.
The multi-talented JPJ taking his solo show on the road. Excellent soundboard featuring tracks from his various solo projects up to that point, plus versions of classic Zep tunes. When you listen to this show you're ask yourself - "How the hell does he do that?"
Vinyl rip of an old GT FM show. Good sound with the usual surface noise you'd expect for an old LP. The guy absolutely tears up that guitar Bo Diddley style.
